
The Lifelong Learning Skills System is a multimedia approach to instruct users in the key skills necessary to get and keep a job as well as the skills needed for a successful, independent life.
The Lifelong Learning System consists of two components -JOB PREPARATION SKILLS and LIFE SKILLS. Each component consists of self-contained multimedia packages that utilize multiple formats for different learning styles.
Students using the Lifelong Learning System will gain skills necessary for a successful transition into employment and independent living.
A series of 17 multimedia packages that provide instruction in the key skills in getting and keeping a job. Each package includes over six hours of instruction in the topic area.

Students learn valuable skills for the job search process, such as how to complete a job application and how to develop a resume. Students also learn important tips for interviewing for a job and ways to make a good impression with appearance and personal grooming.
Students gain insight into the importance of showing a positive attitude during the job search and good communication skills.
The Job Preparation System also provides instruction in valuable skills for keeping a job including work behavior skills and the ways to meet an employer’s expectations.
Instructor's Notes contain implementation strategies, recommended processes, time requirements, multiple teaching strategies and assessment measures, as well as record-keeping and community activity ideas.
Pre/Post Assessment Each package includes an assessment checklist as well as a pre and post assessment in each CD Rom. Complete tests with the user's answer or just a summary report can be printed.
Competency Requirements are provided in each package. These list the key points and critical lessons to be mastered in each subject area.
Handbooks are provided in packages, where appropriate, to enhance the lessons. These 5" x 7" handbooks are typically 12 to 20 pages long and content specific for the competencies addressed.
Activity Worksheets are provided in each package in both electronic and print formats. Users can complete the activities on screen and print out; or fill out the forms the old fashioned way -with a pen or pencil.
Videos in this series are distinguished as the recipient of multiple awards such as the National Educational Film & Video Festival, ABC-CLIO, American Film & Video Association, and the Columbus International Film & Video Festival for high quality and content.
CD-ROMs Highly interactive and built on an entertaining game board design, these CD Roms are user friendly. They utilize dynamic graphics, internet links, multiple print options, user management capabilities, pre and post testing, easy to use navigational tools, and a help button.
